As a young musician, especially at the beginning of your long music journey, do you feel that you need more education resources? Do you need opinions and advice from various As an invaluable complement to a routine music education experience offered in a typical setup, like from school's music classes or private music teachers, or various competitions, Spotlight Platform program provides more diverse learning opportunities and methods to our young musicians at different phases of their music studies. All the resources are offered to participating musicians at no cost at all.

Welcome to “Keys to Inspire”, an online mentorship program created especially for young pianists seeking individualized guidance from distinguished artists. Each session is a private, one-on-one virtual masterclass where you’ll receive real-time feedback and expert advice from guest pianists who have graced the world’s most renowned stages, and who are deeply committed to helping the next generation thrive.

Topics are fully customized to meet your goals — whether it’s expression and storytelling in Chopin, audition preparation for competitions and conservatories, building an effective practice routine, mental preparation for live performance, or other artistic challenges you’re navigating.

This is more than just a lesson — it’s your opportunity to grow both as a musician and as a person through focused, personal coaching. Let your music be your voice, and your change!

Eligibility: All musicians below the age of 18 who currently resides in United States.

Process:

  1. Submit Your Performance

    Young pianists are invited to submit a video clip (up to 10 minutes) of a classical piece of their choice. You're encouraged to include any specific questions or areas you’d like help with, whether it’s phrasing, technique, musical expression, or audition preparation.

  2. Selection and Invitation

    Depending on the number of submissions, Play Positive Note will select 3–5 standout entries for each round. Selected performers will be invited via email to a 45-minute one-on-one virtual masterclass with one of our mentors, a celebrated pianist known on international stages. Together, you’ll dive into your piece and work on it collaboratively. The session will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time.

  3. Follow-Up and Feedback

    After the masterclass, you’ll have the option to submit an updated recording of the same piece to show your progress. Your mentor will review the follow-up and provide personalized written feedback to help confirm your progress and reinforce the work you accomplished during the masterclass.
